POWAY AMERICAN LITTLE LEAGUE
2nd ANNUAL HIT-A-THON
March 18th, 2023
Our goal is to raise $30,000 for field upgrades and continued improvements, upgraded equipment for our players, improvements to the snack shack, new field signs for every field, and future plans for facility upgrades to the bathrooms, batting cages
and a scoreboard on the Majors field.
We need our players and families support to
make this the success we plan it to be!
*HOW IT ALL WORKS*
* Prior to Hit-A-Thon Day* - *Players may start getting sponsors to make donations and/or pledges on the morning, March 13th, 2023.
*Sponsors can pledge online pledge platform URL that will be emailed to each player’s parents the evening of March 13, 2023 by 12:00 am they can forward to their family and friends.*Players will obtain sponsors who donate flat donations or ‘best out of 3 hits longest hit per foot' for MINOR B, MINOR A and MAJORS AND ‘best out of 5 hits longest hit per foot' 5 for ROOKIES AND T-BALL donations. EXAMPLE: $.10 pledge and Player’s best hit is 180 feet, sponsor would pay $18.00)
*The field will be set-up accordingly per divisions with targets that will award instant prizes. (*See below for list of prizes to be awarded)
*Team Parents, Managers, and Coaches should support the Hit-A-Thon fundraiser at practices, games and through the team site. This will help boost and ‘market’ the event which will generate the most funds for the league.
*Hit-A-Thon Day* - The Hit-a-thon will be held on March 18, 2023 on Field 1 at the PALL fields beginning at 7:30 am: *All players are expected to participate. *No money is collected or turned in on Hit-A-Thon Day. *Each team should wear game uniforms for the event.
*Each team will receive an arrival time which they will begin. Players should arrive 10 mins prior to check in and meet their team at designated area. * Once all participants have arrived and checked in with team designated contact, the group will check-in at the registration table set in front of Field 1. *Please have your team arrive on time to keep the flow of batters moving. *Teams will take the designated dugout and 1st batter will begin when called to the plate and all other batters will immediately follow. *Each team must provide three (3) adults from their team: 1. (1) POINT OF CONTACT to organize and oversee the general direction of keeping a steady flow of team: gathering the team together, contact for check-in, leading to designated dugout and assisting in dugout; 2. (1) as a DUGOUT/LINEUP COORDINATOR; and 3. (1) BALL COLLECTOR to assist in shagging of balls after batters have hit *Each player is to bring their own helmets and bats ONLY.** NO BAT BAGS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE DUGOUTS. The league will provide baseballs. * All divisions will hit off a tee and player will receive DESGINATED numbers of hits based off their team division, The longest hit for each player will be recorded by one of our designated Hit-a-thon team members. *Our goal is to keep the flow of batters moving. There are a lot of players to participate in a short window. All teams will have an estimated 10 minutes on field. (**It will go quick so don’t be late) *There will be targets on the field. Players will win an instant prize if target is hit.
*After Hit-A-Thon Day* *Players will be able continue to collect donations until 12:00 am April 18th, 2023 until pledges are shut down.
NOTE: Players will receive prizes based on amount raised once amount has been verified and received by PALL from each sponsor per player.
*Prizes will be given to Team Parents for distribution before the end of the season.
HOW TO COLLECT PLEDGES AND DONATIONS
*If each player collects at least $100, we will collect more than our goal!!!!
*Players will receive an email on Monday March 13th, 2023 from "99Pledges" where players will be invited to join in the 2023 Hit-A-Thon for Poway American Little League. The website will allow players to easily solicit pledges and donations. Please inform all parents to log-in and make sure that all information for their player is correct.
*PALL players will be able to reach out to friends and families electronically by email, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, instead of going door-to-door, tracking commitments, and handling checks.
*Additionally, donors can make a contribution to support with a simple and secure online transaction through 99 pledges.

$300 total raised – PALL Hoodie* (*Total raised in each prize level will receive all prizes up to total amount raised i.e. $300 total raised receives PALL Hit-a-thon T Shirt, PALL LOGO Hat, and PALL Hoodie) PRIZES FOR TOP FUNDRAISERS LEAGUE-WIDE * FARTHEST BALL HIT IN EACH DIVISION BY PLAYER- 1st Place: $50 Gift Card to DICK’S Sporting Goods (*Tie breaker defaults to yardage of second best ball hit by player *Player must have a min. of $100 raised in donations/pledges ) *MOST MONEY RAISED BY PLAYER OVER ALL DIVISIONS
(GRAND PRIZES) - 1st Place: $500 Gift Card to DICK’S Sporting Goods (*with a $1,000 minimum in donations/pledges) *2nd Place: $250 Gift Card to DICK’S Sporting Goods (*with a $500 minimum in donations/pledges) *Prizes from the Snack Shack to be awarded instantly if player hits target in the field. Players have a chance at winning $300.00 cash by hitting a ball into the mouth of a shark placed out in outfield!
